no changes for The Ruins of recently, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working I've been experimenting with some code, looking into two things:

1. The Ruins of suffers from some problems when you click links rapidly... for example, it's possible to run past the edge of a dungeon by issuing many "move" commands, leaving you stranded in nothingness until I manually fix your account (so don't do it, if you can help it ) this, and other similar problems, result from "race conditions", and I'm looking into how to solve the worst of them.

2. The Ruins of suffers from weak character Motivations, and goals you have to lock yourself into early - and know to do so - or else have a very unpleasant end game. I've been discussing various solutions to these problems on the forums. just today, I've updated the The Future of TRo page with my latest thoughts.
