Help - Combat Actions
Following is a list of all Combat Actions currently available.
Refer to the Battle help page for complete details on Battle mechanics.
Basic Attack
Peforms a basic attack. You can use this action from any Stance (except Disoriented). Using it does not change your Stance.
This is a "basic" Combat Action, known to all characters.
Brace
Does not attack. Takes minimal time to perform.
This is a "basic" Combat Action, known to all characters.
Buy Out
Using this Knowledge instantly wins the battle, however it costs an amount of Rho to use equal the 25 times the monster's level.
Charge
Identical to a basic attack, except for its interaction with Stances.
Coldsnap
This attack has a +20% accuracy bonus, but a -10% damage penalty.
Cut Down
Cut Down deals 10% more damage to opponents in the Defensive Stance.
Daksinakali's Dance
Deals 2 less damage, but attack is "hungry" (you will gain 1 AP if the attack kills).
Dazzle
Dazzle ends combat.
Double-strike
Double-strike makes a basic attack without changing your Stance. Unless it hits. If it hits, a second attack is made, without taking any additional time, and you are placed into the Neutral Stance.
Feint
Feint takes 1/2 time, and deals 1/2 damage, but never hits Hit Points. If the enemy is Focusing, it becomes Disoriented.
Flamewave
Identical to a basic attack, except for its interaction with Stances.
Guided Strike
Guided Strike receives a +5% accuracy bonus.
Headshot
Headshot receives a -20% accuracy penalty, but a +10% critical attack rate bonus, and deals +25% more damage on a critical attack.
Reckless Charge
Reckless Charge receives a +15% damage bonus, however it makes you Disoriented.
Recovering Attack
Recovering Attack gets a +20% damage bonus, however 2/3 of the total damage heals you, instead of damaging the opponent.
Refresh
Refresh behaves as a normal attack, however it ignores the enemy's Resistance, and instead of damaging them, heals you. It can never heal Hit Points, only Fatigue.
Regain Footing
Regain Footing can be used from any non-Neutral Stance, even Disoriented. It is not an attack, and takes minimal time to perform.
This is a "basic" Combat Action, known to all characters.
Release
Release adds 1 to the maximum damage for its attack.
Run Away!
Escapes battle. Useable from any state, except Disoriented.
This is a "basic" Combat Action, known to all characters.
Skewer
Skewer deals 10% more damage to opponents in the Aggressive Stance.
Smash
Smash deals 10% more damage to opponents in the Defensive Stance.
Study
Adds the monster's type to your list of studied monsters. Does not attack. Is a Slow action.
Stunning Word
Damages the enemy, but never hits Hit Points. It does not take any time to use.
Sweep
This attack puts an enemy in the Disoriented Stance if it was in the Neutral Stance.
Swift Attack
This attack is one speed category faster than a basic attack, but also deals proportionally less damage.
Take Aim
Does not attack. Takes minimal time to perform.
Thunderclap
This attack is unique in that it can be used in the Disoriented Stance. It is made with a -15% accuracy penalty, and a +6% critical attack rate bonus.
Tiger Strike
Makes two attacks, the first unarmed, the second with your weapon (or unarmed, if you have no weapon).
Tricky Blow
This attack puts the enemy in the Disoriented Stance.
