I want to apologize for the length of the downtime. It was really lame, and entirely my fault - money had been a problem for a little while, more than I was willing to admit. The good news is, that's the past! I have a fantastic new job; things are on the up!
There may be some lingering problems! While I work that stuff out, I also want to think of something nice to give to everyone still playing. No idea what that might look like... first-thing's-first: getting the site in 100% working order!

I'd like to have more events, but it seems better to have a few useful ones implemented than none at all, and the system is easy to extend. so:
once per day, you can participate in a local event from the Country page. there are currently three events, each costing different amounts of rho and AP. if you don't like the event in your current country, other countries likely have different events going on... regardless, once you pick one, that's it for the day... it's not one/country/day, it's just one/day (which is kind of artificial, but it's the best way I could think to balance it, because the events are - I hope - always good deals).
the three types of events so far are:
* Travelling Story-teller - 2AP and 10 rho - a new excavation in the area is revealed to you.
* Local Festival - 4AP - you get 4 to 6 local dishes, which act like Medical Kits when used (although they do not benefit from Homeopathy or Medicine!)
* Local Fair - 3AP - you get a random treasure of (or close to) your level. it's never an equipment, but it's often uncommon, so should make for good selling or donating.
